Every voice matters!

We ask those who wish to help to reach out to the Sheetz Corporation, the Town of Middletown, the Frederick County Board of Supervisors, Virginia and Pennsylvania elected officials, news media outlets, and local press through letters to the editor, calls, etc., to express your concerns over the Sheetz Corporation’s useless and wanton destruction of this culturally and historically significant land in Virginia, and to express your support in saving and preserving it. 

To that end, we are providing publicly available contact information for the Sheetz Corporation, the Town of Middletown, and the Frederick County Board of Supervisors. Feel free to use our sample messages for PA residents and non-PA residents located at the bottom of this page or express in your own words, your concerns over this egregious destruction of our combined national history. 

Please remember, this is a fight over the value and importance of protecting the quality of life of the many and our combined national history versus the economic interests of the few, not over politics or personalities. We ask that your be direct and enthusiastic in your expressions of support, but respectful.

PA RESIDENTS 

As a resident of Pennsylvania, home to the Sheetz Corporation, I do not support Sheetz’ s wanton destruction of nearly 20-acres of uniquely situated, nationally historic Civil War core battlefield, located at 0 Reliance Road, east of Interstate 81, Exit 302, Frederick County, Virginia.

As a Pennsylvanian, I am a beneficiary of the brave veterans of Pennsylvanian who fought and died at the Battle of Cedar Creek for the freedom of our fellow citizens and to preserve our Union, and I am appalled at Sheetz’s decision to destroy our state and national history. 

As a Pennsylvanian, I am asking the Sheetz Corporation to please halt the development at this site and to support us, your fellow Pennsylvanians, your friends and neighbors, the members of the Exit 302 Smart Development Coalition, and the residents of Frederick County, Virginia, in their fight to save and preserve their rural culture and this national historic land by seeking an alternative location for your development.
